The Sunbed Hub uses necessary session cookies and, if configured and accepted, analytics cookies. Your consent choice is stored separately in browser local storage.

Legal basis: Consent. You can accept or reject analytics using the banner or the persistent Cookie Settings control.
2.3 Browser storage (not cookies)
The consent banner stores one choice, “accepted” or “rejected”, in the cookie_consent local-storage item. It does not save category-level preferences. Onboarding and tour progress are stored separately by the platform.

4. Third-Party Cookies

- Google Analytics: Helps us understand website traffic when it is configured and only after you accept analytics.
- Payments: Payment services are used only when a payment flow is used; third-party cookies or storage then depend on the provider and flow.

4.1 Payment Cookies
A payment flow may use third-party cookies or storage when you choose to proceed with a payment. Whether they are set, and their duration, depends on the payment provider and flow in use. Review any payment provider notice displayed during checkout.
First-year membership for your first salon location is £219.99 plus VAT. Renewal and additional-location terms are confirmed separately before payment. Submitting an application does not itself take payment. If payment is requested, the payment method, amount and VAT due will be shown before you choose to pay. Checkout availability depends on payment-system readiness. Membership payments are manual and do not renew automatically.
Legal Basis: Not applicable to normal browsing where no payment cookies are loaded.
4.2 Email Tracking and Resend
The Sunbed Hub uses an email delivery provider for transactional messages and, when you have opted in, marketing messages. Email delivery data is processed to send and manage those messages; this does not mean that website analytics cookies are set.
- Recipient address, delivery status and message metadata
Any marketing message is Sunbed Hub email marketing, and it will be sent only where you opted in. You can withdraw that separate email-marketing consent using the unsubscribe link in a message. Cookie Settings do not change email-marketing preferences.

4.3 Member Dashboard & Platform Activity
For logged-in members, the platform uses session-based storage and server-side data (not cookies) to track:
- Dashboard state and active tabs
- Onboarding tour progress
- Staff training progress and compliance activity
- Compliance Vault usage
- Scoring data and activity history
This data is stored in our database as part of your member record, not as browser cookies. It is covered by our Privacy Policy.
5. Managing Cookies
5.1 Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit The Sunbed Hub, you'll see a Cookie Consent banner. You can:
- Accept all cookies
- Reject non-essential cookies
Your choice is stored in the browser's cookie_consent local-storage item, not a cookie. Use Cookie Settings to accept or reject optional analytics at any time; you do not need to clear browser storage. Analytics stays disabled unless you accept.
5.2 Browser Settings
You can also control cookies through your browser settings:

- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Note: Blocking essential cookies may prevent the website from functioning properly.
5.3 Changing Your Mind
You can change your choice at any time using Cookie Settings:
- Choose to accept optional analytics or reject it
- Change the choice again later using the same control
6. How to Withdraw Consent
To withdraw consent for optional analytics, open Cookie Settings and choose to reject analytics. This stores the updated choice, stops future analytics from loading and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies where feasible.
- Cookie Settings: Reject analytics without clearing browser data
- Existing data: Withdrawal stops future browser collection; it does not automatically delete analytics data already held by Google
Withdrawing analytics consent does not affect the functionality of the website. Necessary session cookies may continue to be used to provide services you request.
