Your Right to Deletion

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data (also known as the "right to be forgotten").

What Gets Deleted?

When you request deletion of your account, we will remove:

• Your account information (name, email, phone, address, etc.)
• Business or directory listing (if you are a supplier)
• Job postings you have created
• Stored preferences and settings
• Marketing consent records
• Access to member features: Compliance Vault, staff profiles, HubBot, supplier deals, jobs board, community forum, and account dashboard
• Uploaded files and documents stored on the platform (where not subject to retention, see below)

Staff Accounts & Archived Records

Please note the following in relation to staff profiles and compliance-linked records:

• Salon owners can suspend a staff member or mark them as having left from the dashboard. This disables their access immediately
• Salon owners cannot permanently delete staff profiles themselves. Permanent deletion must be requested through admin
• Some staff records may be archived rather than instantly wiped, where they are linked to salon compliance history, certificates, scores, or audit records
• Historical training records, pass/fail history, and certificates linked to a staff member may be retained where required for compliance, audit, dispute handling, or legal purposes
• Where retention is not necessary, staff records will be deleted or anonymised within the standard window

What We May Keep

We may retain certain data if required by law or legitimate operational necessity, including:

• Financial records: for tax and accounting purposes (6 years)
• Fraud prevention records: retained as long as reasonably necessary
• Data required for legal disputes or regulatory compliance
• Compliance history, certificate records, and audit records: where needed for platform integrity, dispute handling, or legal obligations
• Staff-linked records: may be archived where linked to salon scores, compliance records, or certificates

Retained data will be anonymised where possible and deleted after the relevant retention period has passed.

How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of your data, please email us at:

Please include in your email:

• Your full name
• Email address associated with your account
• Account type: Salon Owner, Staff Account, or Supplier
• Reason for deletion (optional)
• If you are a salon owner requesting deletion of a staff profile, please confirm the staff member's name and email

Processing Time

We will respond to your request within 30 days as required by UK GDPR. In most cases, deletion of the primary account is completed within 7 days. Where records require review before archiving or deletion (e.g. staff profiles linked to compliance records), we will inform you of the expected timeline.

Before You Delete

Alternatives to Deletion

If you are not ready to delete your account, you can:

• Update your information: Edit your account details to keep them current
• Opt out of marketing: Unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time
• Deactivate your account: Members can request account deactivation without immediate erasure of records that must be retained
• Request a data export: Download all your data without deletion
• Suspend a staff member: Salon owners can suspend or mark staff as left rather than permanently deleting their records
